We've just upgraded to a 2004 Expedition EB yesterday, but for the life of me I cannot find where the cord for the blockheater is located. Unfortunately I can't search the forum...
Temps are dropping towards 0 F pretty fast here, and I'm needing to keep the block from freezing.
Any quick help appreciated.

I just connected my f-i-l's block heater cord on his newly aquired '04 Expy XLT last weekend. The cord is in 2 parts, with the connection between the two located behind the radiator mount on the left side, almost directly behind the driver side headlight, and between the headlight and the air filter housing. It looks like a 4-pin trailer hookup except that there are only 3 pins inside. It may have a cover over the connector end. You need to route the plug end of the second cord through the front of the grill or in his case, the front of the lower grill, and up through any number of openings to the connector end of the mounted block heater cord. Routing the cord is not a problem, connecting the two ends together is, as they're both made out of hard rubber and it's designed to be a press fit. Maybe your problem is that the engine compartment cable is there, but the second cable is missing.
All of the above is assuming that your car came equipped from the factory with a block heater. If it didn't, then never mind.
I got the right cord from Ford, but at first they were going to charge us $40 for it... I don't think so! After "diplomatically" mentioning that the cord should have been in there in the first place, they finally just let me have it.
