Re-learing shift points?

I have a 2006 F350 completley stock. I recently put on a Donahoe leveling kit and 35" tires on my truck. Now the shifting kind of sucks, not real crisp. If I unhook batteries and allow the truck to re-learn its shifting with thses bigger tires, would this make a difference?

Thanks, DB

I think if you just drive it the way you normally would it will re learn on its own. It may take a little bit though. You may have to do some hard acceleration off the lines a few times and let it shift through the gears and it should learn.

I have 35's on my truck and the shift is great. I don't notice any loss of power. I don't know that it will ever feel like it did stock but really I don't have anything to compare. I took my truck from the dealer to get the lift and tires so I don't remember what it was like stock. LOL.

You may want to disconnect the batteries so the TorqShift can relearn with the new set up. Go into the 6.0 Tech Folder at the top of this forum, look for "TorqShift shift relearning strategy", it's about 15 to 20 links from the top. Hopefully that will help you out.
