I rarely stomp the gas in my truck, but today I did while frustrated and noticed when I did it knocked right before it took off. I thought maybe it was a mishap and tried again rolling from 30-40km/hr and stomping it and it does it every time. I'm not too worried about it as I said I very rarely put it to the floor. Anyone happen to notice the same thing? I'll swap out the plugs for new ones and hope I got a bad tank of gas for now.
Yes like a spark knock. Sounds like an old v8 with real bad timing. Only from a roll tho....If I'm accelerating at a steady pace and then floor it it doesn't do it. Just wanted to know if anyone's experienced a simular problem. I've got almost 60k miles on these plugs.
I have an 04 that does what you just described. Also, It will randomly knock at times under acceleration, hills, etc. It almost seems random. Sometimes it's just fine.
I believe so, since 2004. Another thing you could do is to try to zero out the learning part of the program and then allow the computer to re-learn your driving habits. This is done by disconnecting the battery for a period of time. I've read in this forum that most do it overnight although the time period is not really that long.
