Stearing Wheel Removal?

I am trying to get to the turn signal switch and can not find a way to get the stearing wheel off? I have pulled off the nut on top under the horn button and have pulled like crazy nothing is happening. Is there some trick or how does this think come off.

This is on a 1958 F-100 with the stock stearing box.

Thanks,
Erik

You probably need a steering wheel puller, which has two bolts which screw into the hub of the steering wheel, and another that pushes down on the shaft, if I remember correctly. (haven't used it in a long time. I'm assuming you've removed the horn button, horn contact thingummy, and the nut that holds the wheel to the shaft.

Make sure when you use that steering wheel puller to leave the nut on the shaft just flush with the top of the shaft, so you don't mess the threads up.
