did you get this fixed? My brother in-law had his truck at the shop getting some things taken care of and they told him he needed to replace this and the tierods. He never said anything about it to them. They want $1200 to fix this.

I did. I just ended up biting the bullet and replacing the gear box with a unit from Red Head Gearboxes. Worked like a charm. Steers like a new truck. Could not be happier. Cost me $232 to get it installed.
