Wonder if that was a trick statement on this test, just to see if we dosed off in class?????!!!! lol

ok so we all know how to convert to a manual gauge, but I still would like to know if anyone knows where the sending unit is located on a 4.0L SOHC. Thanks.

analog sending unit, NOT the stock sending unit "SWITCH":

Thanks for the photos ... definately worth more than 1000 words.

It's just not in the most accessable location, but now I have a good idea on how to tackle the problem.

Wow that's a whole lot different from the old 4.0L OHV's location. Mine's on the front corner of lower block, drivers side. I put in a analogue and bought a lighted mountable gauge bypassing the in dash by the speedo. Works and looks great!

Another way you can try and get to it is through the inner fender liner on the passenger's side....just pull the tire first......good luck!!
