I think you have a single problem that the dealer hasn't fixed. Your problem isn't with the truck but with the service department. The company I worked for picked up 4 Chevys at the dealer and only 3 made it the seven miles back to the office. A problem is not unusual with a new vehicle but it gets very frustrating when the dealer doesn't promptly and completely fix the problem.
Ive had my 05 for a little over a wek its been in the shop 4 days now. Its going dead while going into right or left turns. And this truck is certified. But it still has the factory warranty. IM starting to get fed up with it.
Mr Ed: Sometime when you get a chance go to blueovalnews.com and do some reading and you will soon realize that your new truck was built by a bunch of disgruntled UAW auto workers who are about to get laid off and it will become very clear why you are having problems already but be careful here or yuo will be labeled a ford basher as I have been!!! LOL
That chevy has your name all over it. I really don't understand why you bought a Ford and come here and talk about how chevy is better. Just go get one and go on their forum and tell them about your life problems.

Getting kind of nervouse just read that one of GM prime stock holders has sold off all his stock and invested in casinos he may know something we don't of course that could be for all of the big 3???
04 FX4 Lineman,
What probems have you had with your truck. Why do you call yourself a disgruntled Ford owner?
Mostly just small trim falling off type problems except mine just seems real doggy have had it to 3 dealers who all confirm dperformance is sub par and I have all the latest PCM reflashes with now change and now they tell me ford is having a carbon build up problem with the 5.4 3v and that is probably my problem but it is not covered under warranty to pull the heads and clean them up as ford does not consider it a design flaw as they also do not consider getting the plugs out a design flaw and I am at only 25K!!!

If you have carbon buildup, get some Seafoam and follow the directions. Many NAPA stores have it.
sorry about the problems you're having. but as someone already said, stick it to the dealer until they fix it. If all else fails, a quick call to the better business bureau or maybe the local news station can really put the screws to the dealership. Tactics like this shouldn't be required, but alot of dealerships nowadays are only out there to push a product and not cover the product as well. Ford isn't the only bad guy, just the most recent one you'll notice if you take your vehicle in for service.
as for you pro-union types lurking about, think about how much FORD has to pay the UNION workers to do a job any person can do because the Union will strike otherwise and completely stop production. Then think about how much it costs them to "buy" out these people (who are making unreasonable demands IMO) so FORD can get on their feet with the tough vehicle market.
where is the money to come from? Car companies don't have these deep pocketbooks like most people think. You'll find that every vehicle manufacturer out there is cutting back costs and scaling back. The days of huge excess are over.
My 06 F-150 FX4 is perfect in every regard. I've got 2500 miles on her so far and look forward to 100,000 and then some. The interior is what I'd rate as a 7/8 out of 10. My only complaint is that the black dash is hard to keep clean.
btw, if you think Fords are POS, you don't want to consider the Toyota. The only thing it's got going for it is the supposed longevity of the Toyota brand. They don't make them to last anymore like they used to. Now the emphasis is more on catching the Ford/Chevy/Dodge. Once bitten, twice shy, I'll never even consider a Toyota again.

I have worked on Ford, Chevy, and Dodge dealerships. They all have their problems, I have seen them all do buy backs, most of the time it is the service department. just stay on top of them, get upper mangment involed. if all new cars and trucks were perfect they wouldn't come with a warranty...everthing brakes no matter how new. good luck....

Ok. So you'll never consider a Toyota again. That's really great for you. How does that help a fellow Ford owner who is having trouble with a Ford product?
Who exactly is making unreasonable demands, like a reasonable wage, some health benefits, a decent retirement and maybe a little job security?
If those demands are unreasonable, what exactly do YOU call reasonable?
While I'm very glad that you haven't had any problems with your Ford, try to be a little more understanding and less condescending to a poor guy having problems with his truck or some line worker who just wants the same things most everybody wants.
In other words, show a little human compassion, if you expect some back. Otherwise, quit wasting bandwidth.
lineman... what brand of gas do you run? I see your in washington. If your using ARCO, that could be your problem. That is bad gas and will cause poor milage and buildups.
I think it is time for you to go back down to the beach and bury you head back in the sand, with the rest of the old folks in Fl.
So now you go from bashing Ford, to attacking other users?
You are nothing but a TROLL. Sell your Ford so we can stop listening to your "POOR, POOR ME" crap. 99% of your posts are nothing but Ford BASHING. You never have, nor will you ever have any input that will be helpful to anyone.
And as we all can see, you have been soooooooo helpful thus far in this thread.
Give us all a break and get over it. And for once post something of value instead of the usual "I hate Ford" crap.
