The reason it was parked was he didn't have anymore use for it and it was getting rather old at the time. He did have other trucks that he was using so he didn't see the point in using it anymore and parking it.
And to the rest of you, thank you very much for the info, it definitely is a help and gives me an idea as to where I am, what I need, and what to expect.
