Engine decals
I am performing a restoration/tune-up on my 1960 Ford F-100 with a 292. Included in this tune-up is a new coil. I have purchased the coil decal listed in all the restoration catalogs, but need to know exactly how it is placed on the coil. Everything under the hood (except upper and lower radiator hoses and filters) is 1960 factory original. My original 1960 coil does not have a decal. It may have peeled of, or it may not have even had one at all. Can anyone provide information as to whether the coil did or did not originally have a decal, and if so, how is it placed on the coil?
