The Sliding Door on my 90' Shorty is hanging down at the rear, so I took the Door off to examine everything: All the Rollers are fine but the Rails Fixation at the Pillar is broken. See the Picture below.

Ouch. As these get up in years, new fatigue problems are cropping up. Do show us your journey in fixing this (I just enjoyed a walk down memory lane, re-reading this thread from the beginning).
This looks like either a JY donor repair, or a remove-and-weld/paint repair.
Hi Al, my plan for now is pretty simple: I'll attach the rail back into the pillar with a flat-head screw and a 1/4 inch nylon spacer inbetween, somewhere 1 to 2 inches inward from where it broke.
Either with a sheet metal screw or screw/nut combination, if there is access from behind. Will need to pry off the 6x9 speaker grill to know the later.
