I was just outside cleaning my Aero and I was lubricating the side door with some spray on Lithium grease since I just read to do that in another thread. While I was out there the wife told me she saw a little wheel fall off the door (months ago….ho hum what can I do… I had her to long to replace her). She thinks it came from the bottom slide. I looked up inside and don’t see anything missing. Does that roller have a plastic sleeve or something that should be on top of it? The door still closes fine but it is hard to pull and has a little bit of a rattle.
I can see a roller, bearing and nut only. Its hard to pull my door if its cold outdoors, sometimes I can not open it, till she warmed up well. But I can se no ice inside. I do not know, how to fix it...
The lower roller has a plastic sleeve, and it does go bad over time. I think you need a new lower roller. Just remove the lower bracket, knock out the old roller and put in a new one. It should last you for the next few years, depending on how many kids you have and how much they like to play with the sliding door.
I the service manual pic it looks like they are selling the whole bracket. I have the service man on CD and it has the same pic with the same part numbers. I was hoping to aviod the dealer.
