Started working on my 1957 telephone truck. Doing a full frame off restoration. Finished the complete disassembly last week so will start the rebuild process right after Thanksgiving holiday. Will start with the chassis followed by the drivetrain. Hope to get to the body work late spring or over the summer. Thinking it might take 2 years or so which is considerably faster than it took for my 56 F100 which took 14 years. Can't post pics of the telephone truck because it is a "bowtie" and the web site prohibits me from posting pics.
Finally got the exhaust tips in last week. Wasn't happy with the trim rings so made them myself now this week I just have to paint them undercoat the box and install them on the truck so hopefully I can get some pics up later this week!
My baby is going in under the wrench starting tomorrow.
Wish her luck and a quick recovery! I'm going to be stuck driving a freakin' Cheby Cavalier for the week. That sucks a big one!! It'll be worth it in the end, I hope.
Aren't you a week early? I'm sure you just can't wait to drive that little chebby, but geez, a full week lost? Or did you just figure it out a week early?
Good luck either way, and I'm pretty sure that Rattle Can can get you a deal on some duct tape if you need it...
Yep, we sure are!! He had an opening and I said, see ya' in the morn!!

Better yet, I'm not stuck in a cheby!! Worse, I'm in a Dodge!! A Stratus no less!! I could park this freakin' car in the bed of my truck!! There is one plus though. It's been a long time since I've been in a front wheel drive with an e-brake in my right hand!! I almost forgot how fn doing a u turn at 60 was!! Don't ya just LOVE rentals. ROFLMAO
my project update (sorry, the Ford is on hold...so my Dodge Stealth it my project):
Still tuning the computer, but I have stable 11.7:1 AFR's across the board at WOT, getting 25+ MPG when cruising, and pushing 18 lbs of boost on pump gas with little or no knock (enough to beat a Lightning with a ported blower, pulley, chip, exhaust, gears, and whatever he forgot to tell me). It's not fast enough yet.
New wheels are on, but forgot to install the center caps, doh!
The coil-over suspension is still in it's shipping box.
Still no radio.
Still no roll cage.
new oil pump and timing belt going to be installed soon.
Oh, and the clutch is fried because it cant hold the power anymore, so new clutch comming soon.
After all that It'll probly be time for a paint job....it's a never ending battle.
My toy is still on hold and will be indefinitely. Between dialysis and other health issues, I am not able to work on it right now. Not to mention the medical bills on top of all that too.

Sounds great...be careful tho. Last time I posted something about a Dodge in this chapter, they threatened to sink it in Lake of the Ozarks.
Here's a minor update on my baby. Pic 1 shows her before the shop on Monday morning. Pic 2 shows where we were at Tuesday Evening. She looks naked!! Poor girl.
vloney- Tonight we lift the cab. Want my buddies number so you can say "I told you so."?? Hahahahahaha I did give him your line to. He thought it was very funny!!
