Early 1950's Ford and GM, especially the 1954 Chevy Custom Cab, with a one-piece curved windshield and rear corner cab windows. Grandpa had a 1953 Custom Cab 3600 (3/4 ton).
Runner up, 1967-72 Chevy. I had a 1971 C-10 short box Fleetside.
Personally, I like the 2000 series Chevys and Fords - it's why I own one!
I agree, when the boxiness really dropped off finally and they both went to real nice curves, late 90's. I loved the curves the Silverado came with starting in '99. Liked the early 2000 Fords as well.
Not a fan of either new model, GMs are too big and boxy, Ford's look ridiculous. JMO though.
I gotta agree... I'd kill for one. I have had 2 F1's, a '40 Ford, a '36 Plymouth and "The World's Most Beautiful Ranger" (a custom '99 Flairside). When I sold my '60 Triumph TR3 roadster a while back I vowed no more projects, but I still have the itch ..... maybe one more.
Dodge made a truck with tailfins in 57, I like them, also Chebby made the Cameo truck somewhere about the same time.
To me they are the best looking trucks.
67-79 fseries takes the cake for me, followed by the 67-72 gmc p/u w/4 headlights, and 3rd would be the 73-80 gmc/chevy stepsides. i'd like to get my hands on the chevys and use a ford drivetrain, to eliminate the issues that make me hate gm sometimes

Always loved the '68 Fastback as well.
To be honest I'm not really sure WHY I don't like the new Rangers. I posted a while back in the Ranger forum trashing the new FX4 Level II (a brand name that I still find laughable) but as someone pointed out the stuff I hated weren't standard. However I STILL don't like their looks, but you couldn't pin me down as to exactly why. I actually find the 2000 S-10's to be better looking than their Ford counterparts - but I like the low slung and curvy front end on the Ranger.
I definately started liking the 80-86 style lately in a classic truck type feeling. The only late model trucks I like are the superduties. I like any domestic truck from the 70s back.
The oddest automotive affection I have is towards the Mustang II coupes, I photoshopped one into a killer looking classic with minor changes. Its scary.
