Windshield

I was driving down the freeway yesterday and a big rig kicked up a small boulder and deposited it on my windshield.

Any advice on getting a new one? (company, what to look for, etc.)

I have seen where some aftermarket replacements are **** poor. Try to get an OEM replacement.

If you have good car insurance, it should be replaced for free with no deductible.

insurance pays all but 100.00 they are doin it in my driveway.

I agree with the cheap aftermarket junk. I went cheap on my mid size American made sedan (Lumina) and the thing cracked within the month. It was replaced but I went with the more expensive windshield. Could be the same junk, just a better install job. Who knows.

OK........went to All Sar Glass and paid $240.00 for a factory Ford Carlite windshield. Took about 45 minutes. Lifetime warranty on leaks and the company has been around 31 years so I guess it's not all that bad of a deal.
