I think the 265 and up float to much for me when it snow's, I have the 265 stock size and are wearing pretty good for what htey have been through.
but will probably go with the 245. but that is just met. but I must admit I like the look of the fatter tire.

Is your truck generally empty? I could probably agree, if you were in 2wd, with an empty truck. Mine is loaded to 8500, everyday, with all my tools under the cap in the rear. I could not believe how well mine did in 2wd with my 285s. The bridgestone dueler a/t revos were incredible, i live 2 miles from a paved road, uphill, but only one way lol. I never NEEDED to put mine in 4wd to make it up the driveway. i think we had upto 5" or 6" of snow at a time at any given point last year (kinda pathetic for the year). Now i never stopped to find out if i could start again without any momentum, but there is (3) 90 degree turns. But i have a whole bunch of weight at the back of the truck. Now 2wd in stock form would make for alot of extra weight in the front (diesel) and an empty bed, and kinda unbalanced. I would never trade my tires for anything else. Ive had no problems with towing 12k, just did this weekend (trailer and skid loader)
Well I certainly dont disagree, My buddy runs 315, but has a utility bed with lots of goodies. yeah the only thing I have in my truck would be a dog. lol, but I will be getting a Alt. Veggie tank but that will add some weight, but its still in the fwd part of the bed. I Have a Yukon XL that did Great in the snow, but I dont take that to many places I will take my truck. well see when it comes time to buy tires, which cometh SOON. plus my leveling kit, I will have to fill that void now too.
