Post Cooling Fans - Flex or Rigid?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-Jun-02 AT 10:15 AM (EST)]I'm doing some work on my '51 F1's (302 C4) cooling system and would like y'alls input. I run a rigid 4 blade now and am leaning towards a rigid 6 blade. I like the looks of a sparkley, chrome Flex fan but, I have also heard the horror stories about them coming apart. ( I've gotta watch using the term "sparkley" around my wife. The silly gal thinks I'm talking about jewelry)
Anyway, let me know what y'all think!

Cooling Fans - Flex or Rigid?

I've been using a flex fan on my 302 in my 54 f100 for over 17 years without any problems, I like it because it's lighter and gives you more horse power plus it flexes forward at higher RPM's to pull the air in better.

Thanks, I ordered a shroud last night. It oughta be here in a few days. Then I'll measure for the largest diameter flex that'll fit. I'll let you know.
