99 ranger tranny problems
I could use some advice about my tranny problem. I drive a 99 ranger w/ 3.0 automantic 4X4. When the truck is cold it works fine but after it warms up (when stopping) i get a small "clunk" and jerk just before the wheels come to a complete stop. I get a similar result when I accelerate from a complete stop. There are no problems at any other speed. U-joints and diff seem ok. I am new to the forum but any help would be greatly appreciated. Sounds to me like the common "driveline thunk" issue as to '98+ Ranger 4x4s.
