Glow plug issues
hey all, my 2000 f250 7.3 having a hard time starting when its not even cold out. does anyone know how to test the glow plugs? i will check if there is a error code. i have changed the glow plug relay and checked the connections, all look good. is it a big job to change the glow plugs? something i can do myself?
wondering if anyone has had same issues and any suggestions.

To test the glow plugs, all you have to do is disconnect to connector at the valve cover and ohm the 4 largest pins. You are looking for 2 ohms or less. It is not that hard of a job to change them. A thin 10mm deep well socket works greats. I bought mine at AutoZone for around $9 apiece, Motorcraft ZD11. Do not use Autolite glowplugs.

A little more detail when you ohm those connector out go between the pins in the plug and use the block for a ground.
Here is the connector {G G I I C I I G G}
G=Glowplugs
I=Injector +
C=Injector Common Ground
