acceleration switch??

acceleration switch??
ok.. we have a company 98 EB exploder. 5.0. awd. fails safety inspection. boss takes to ford, cause at the time i didn't have time to work on it. estimate for 2grand comes back!!!!
along with some bull about a twisted front brake line, (which they are charging an hour labor for), and a left front fog light, they list the LF abs sensor is bad, and an acceleration switch is bad.. i know i can fix the abs sensor, that's fine. the ABS light is on. ok! but what is the acceleration switch?
(btw, they marked "check gauge" light is on, but they found the reason. low fuel!) yey! (duh..)
oh well. any help with the acceleration switch? is it just the rear abs/vss sensor?
