neutral tow

does anyone make an aftermarket "neutral tow" switch for a 2006 f-150 crew cab?
I'm looking for a way to tow this behind my RV.

the switch is not the problem. it looks like in 97 Ford went to a different style Borg Warner transfer case. I may be completely wrong, but the automatic TC doesn't have a neutral position.

Your best bet would be to look into a quick dis-connect driveshaft setup or a trailer. if you set on towing this vehicle, the trailer is the way to go anyways. less wear/tear on the tires and drivetrain

I thought the still used the 13-56 T-case? The problem with the electric shift T-case, is that it has no "neutral" position. Thats one of the reasons I'm glad they still offer the manual shift case in some configurations

I believe, that even in neutral, the trans parts are still moving. Therefore, I think you will need some type of external pump to keep the fluid moving. You may want to try some of the RV sites for more info.

only input shaft on the rear of the transfer case is rotating. it has a roller bearing setup like your axle does. the fluid does not service that part. that is how you're able to get away with flat towing with a manual transfer case.
