Should I re-route my exhaust strait out the back? I got it out the corners to be different but I just like the normal staight out the back look. Also, would changing my tips add a little sound? I asked for 3" stainless tips and they ended up only being 2.5". I also hate how I can't keep the stainless tips clean whereas I could just wipe off my chrome ones on my old truck. If so, what size should I change to?
changing the tips will act as a megaphone of sorts and change the sound
it would be possible to either clear powder-coat the polished SST tips, or i guess you could chrome them as well, so that you dont have to polish them as often.
I personally hate the exhaust out the back on a truck ...
Harley Davidson makes a great crome conditioning polish. It suposed to keep the the tips from discoloring. I have my exhaust out the back for that same reson. It will look even better when I put my 6" lift on eventually.
I made a mistake IMO and had my catbacks come out the side. The dual pipes look very cool but the cabin noise is high. Everyone thinks I want to race them off the line too (including cops) it's so loud. I don't have to worry about my warranty though cause the parts manager at the dealer had them installed!
The CAI won't void the warranty but the intake could if you start having engine problems. The dealor will find any excuse to get out of paying for the work.

Location only has part to do with the interior resonance. What brand did you choose? THAT is a huge factor.
TIPS!!! I already have the exhaust run. Just thinking about bigger tips and going straight out the back instead of angled at the corners of the bumper.
