Exclamation E3TE-FA different than E5TE-FA carbs?

Is there a difference? The E3 is from an 83, and the E5 is on my 86. Is the E3 compatible with my 86 E5? The description sounds the same, but I'm not sure.
Trying to figure it out within 2 hours, so any help is appreciated.

Yes, they are different.

I however cannot tell ou how they are different.

Could be anything, Air flow rate, fuel mixture ratios, internal workings, ports missing/added, different feedback solenoids, or could be something as simple as how a component bolts to it.

The rule of thumb is the Carb numbers should match exactly to your application.

Hope this helps.
