Yes I Can E7 in FORD language means 87. They used these heads on 87 to 92 460 FI. engines. In 93{F3TE} heads came out with a smaller closed chamber fast burn design. They used them from 93 to 97 with a deeper dish 460 Fi . piston. If I can find the CC's of these heads i will build alittle hotter 460 for my 95 F 350 10,240# truck. PS. It has a utility bed on it full of Dozer tools.
Well Jimmie ,I've searched my resources,to find the answer for you.
no luck .
its easy to chk yourself,if you have the heads already!

Just how much smaller are the 93-97 chambers? If I was to replace my '89 heads with the newer ones, but keep my smaller-dish pistons, would my compression go too high, or confuse the heck out of the computer?

460, C6, BW 13-56, Sterling 10.25" (4.10:1), Dana 44 HD (4.09:1), twin K&N's, no muffler, stock lo-flo cat, Bosch Platinum Plugs (0.060") MSD 6A and TFI Blaster Coil
That is what i want to do also. the 87-92 pistons have a .065 oblong recess while the 93-97 have a .189 deep relief. I guess if worse comes to worse i could midnight auto someones F3TE heads And CC them.
