Tranny Info E4od

i am looking for a replacement auto tranny for my 95 f150 5.8l 4x4 my question is does my tranny need to come from an f 150 and will a 2wd tranny work by adding the transfer case also what years will work for my truck

You will want a 4x4 tranny to replace a 4x4 trans. The output shafts and tailhousing are different.

Any E4OD will work (91ish?-97ish), but the post 95s are regaurded as tough.

if u live around mass i have one with a tranfer case was a replacement for my truck but it was the wrong one. the electronic piece directly behind the shifter is off 250.00 if interested
