I have a 92 f150 with a 4.9 and a 5 speed manual tranny, i was curious on what kind of tranny it is...

 

You might not like it, but it's a Mazada M5R2. That is if it's a 4X2.

 

Its 4x4 so i doubt it, thats a super week tranny

If you look at the tranny from the drivers side and there is a plate w/4bolts on the side, it's a ZF. Thats a power take-off option. The Mazda is not a bad tranny mine had 270,000 on it when it quit(PO let it run dry) it was my first mazda tranny and it wasn't leaking when bought it so I didn't think much about it until it started making noise. Keep it filled with ATF and it will last a long time.
