Take the wire off clean and put back together tight. That should solve the problem

WARNING, WARNING, WARNING! Take the negative cable off the battery BEFORE you start playing with the connections on the starter solenoid. Electrical connections don't get any hotter than that one and it would be very easy to let the wrench slip grounding that post to the frame.

Like Duncan said, take the wires off the post, clean them with sandpaper and put everything back together tight.

Very good point sport... Safety first.. Short part of that out and look out. There could be gasses coming of the battery causing a battery explosion.

For most of us taking the battery ground of first goes without saying. But because there are some here who are new to this I thought the warning was appropriate.

Kid,

Let us know how it turns out.
