What the heck is that button on my rear view mirror

I recently bought a 1995 ford bronco xlt equipped with all the usual options ( power everything ) including leather seats.

I was wondering what function the small button mounted to the lower part of my inside rear view mirror serves.

It kicks the mirror at an angle for nite time driving. Try it when you have cars behind you and the glare hits the mirror.

if you leave it depressed it just turns itself on when the light outside the car dims. that way you never have a high beam in your eye. it doesnt do anything when on during the day.
