Hey - Anyone used this part number yet? 4C4Z-12K073-AB
Supposedly this is the new early CMP. A guy on ebay was selling 50 of them or so. New ford part but I can't find anything about them. The guy has very good feedback and sold a lot of PSD sensors so I decided to take his word for it. Certainly appears to be the same part - just wondering if anyone else has used it.
If it is the "new improved" blue cps, there have been a lot of people installing them and say both good and bad. One thing though, Jody Tipton has tested this cps and it retards your timing compared to the black one.
No - I have not be able to search anything on it either. You may still be able to find them on E-Bay. I'll install it and post the outcome I suppose. Hopefully it's better than the original part.
In case anyone was wondering I just installed it and the truck started right up. Hopefully that means everything is good to go. It's just a hall effect sensor... Actually I can't really understand why they are so expensive. That said you can certainly get different out-put levels out of a hall-effect bar depending on demensions and material. I'm not suggesting that just any sensor should work.
