Laryy sent me an e-mail and he needs to write another magazine article for the off road magazine. Looks like I'll be headed south tomorrow afternoon or thursday. I'll check in when I can. Guess it's Greens turn to be famous.
Just about ready to go. Just need to hear from Larry. Something may have come up. He hasn't replied to my reply of his e-mail. Oh well if not this week then maybe next.
Looks like I won't leave till Friday. Caveman is going out for the weekend. We'll do some stuff on the Santa Fe trail. Then maybe down to Lincoln for some stuff on the Billy the Kid. Then if there is time swing down for Big Bend.
Man, I'm going to have to take Joe's sleeping bag. Looks like I'll be near Buena Vista, NM friday night. Over 7,000 feet above sea level. Going to be a little cool. Hope we are lucky enough to not have the wind that we did last weekend at Tuttle.
Caveman (Mike) will be with Larry and I this weekend. So I should have some good stories. I should be back for Turkey day. Hope to check in before then but if not everyone have a good one.
Went to see a Volley Cane O on Friday. Camped west of Eaglesnest NM Friday night. Saturday morning it was 9 degrees above zero. Went to Fort Union, NM Saturday. Camped northwest of there last night. Had a camp visitor last night. Never could see what it was so we don't know if we were dancing with a bear or not. Only 15 degrees this morning. Went to Ft. Sumner today and saw Billy the Kids grave. In Rosewell, NM now. Larry's at the UFO exhibit and I found wireless service.
Check engine light came on again Friday heading down. MPG at he first fill up looked like down around 15. Next two fill ups were back up to near 20 MPG and the check engine light went off today. I'm thinking maybe a ground problem as the temp gauge was moving down when it shouldn't. Did great last weekend up to Tuttle and back.
