temp gauge
I have a 1999 Explorer EB with a 4.0 engine. I was wondering if anyone might know why my temp gauge would suddenly go all the way to the hot side. Saturday it was working fine, but Sunday it wasn't. Thank you for any suggestions.

Did the motor actually get that hot, or did just the gauge peg? If the motor got hot, you could have a stuck thermostat. If the motor didn't get hot, you could have a cracked sending unit wire that is shorting out.
