MBRP 5"

I am thinking of upgrading the stock exhaust on my 04 F350 CC Dually, looking at the MBRP 5" Turbo Back system. Was wondering if anyone has this, what kind of sound it produces and if it is worth the price (which I feel is average for this type of system). Also if I did this system, I want to do the cat delete, is the sound/turbo gonna be almost un-bearable in the cab. Basicaly on the site that I looked at there was 1 review (good) says he scares ped. and cops take notice, is the system gonna be so loud that I'll get pulled over and ticked for noise pollution? Just wanted to get some peoples opions and experiences before I purchase.

I have the 4" turbo back with cat and muffler delete, It has a sweet jet like sound and a rumble of a V8 definately turns heads but if you are traveling a long distance anything over 2100 rpms is very noticeable in cab. Im going to put the muffler that came with the kit on someday and see what sound difference it makes.
About the 5 inch kit now, there is abosolutley no need in a 5 in exhaust unless you have tons of hp and tq, if you are stock the 5 in will actually lose you power( what i was told)and no difference in egt's between 4 and 5in.

trust me, with a 5 inch turbo back kit, your tech will hate you and you might get charged for extra time needed for ehaust pipe removal whenever the intake has to come off.

I'm currently stock, but have a gauge kit TBD this week, calling Innovative Diesel tomarrow morning and ordering a SCT w/custom tunes, also have a K&N intake but had taken it off the truck 6 months ago. May put it back on after exhaust install just to play with but will probably keep stock on most of the time. Thought the rule of thumb on exhaust was the bigger the better, know thats true on marine diesels (a common rail 6cycl CTD usually has a 12" exhaust hose).

I just installed the cat back -waiting on doing the turbo back pipe this week and lemme tell ya the SCT kit KICKS ****. I've run the Street Performance and Extreme Street and unless you're racing there isn't a need for anything but the Street tune.

The only dissapointment is the exhaust note not being any noticable different with the muffler in place.

My .02

you running straight exhaust? No cat no muffler? have heard a few sheeps running around with exhaust mods and they sound like a dump truck's jake brake.lol Wanna have a better stronger sound than that without getting pulled over.

I'm just saying the exhaust note with CAt and MBRP muff is not much differnet that stock.

Even with the muffler out it wasn't loud, but then again i didn't hammer it or get out of the neighborhood.

Ordered SCT w/custom tunes this morning and the guys at I.D. talked me out of the 5", gonna go with the 4" turbo back with the cat delete. My only other question is the pros and cons of the stainless vs alumin. Any had experience with both, I know my stiock has cracks and small leaks on most of the welds.

Seeing that the 5" is only available in Aluminized, if you need the Stainless then the choice is easy.

I thought the sound difference was not really noticable on the 5" vs. the 4".
