When you start your truck up there is a deep rumble for about 2 seconds THEN STRAIGHT TURBO BABY!!!!People that are around when you start up get a confused look...then a what the hell do u have done to that thing.. It sounds like kicking in night vision goggles on splinter cell LOL
LOL thats great! got a friend with a 98 2500ram w/CTD he has a catback banks, can't wait to let him have it, just gotta figure out how to order it without wife getting mad. lol
LOL well used that excuse when I ordered the gauge set last week and SCT today. I asked the tech at the dealer today if they would void the warrenty if I put a turbo back exhaust on the truck and he said he didn't care but talk to the guys at the front desk. He also said he thinks it's a waste of $$ and time, said stock is just as good, I don't buy that.
I went from getting 18.3(lieometer)with diesel kleen over a 130 mile round trip going between 65&70 to 19.2 over the same drive without dk doing same speed.
so you picked up .9mpg by just changing out the catback, not the cat or anything else. Just a 4" cat back and that is it?
I dont think you read JoCaren's description correctly.. Its not a CAT-BACK.. its a Turboback system with CAT DELETE AND MUFFLER DELETE..
But if the .9MPG is accurate just from exhaust I may be buying one myself... Ive wanted to do exhaust since I got the truck but could never justify buying one when the stock system is still good.. But I think once springtime comes Im going to make the purchase.
Most likely the guy scaring peds has a 2003, the turbo whistle is much louder as the wheel is different on them, thrust me I know as I have one. I love it but for some a 2003 with no cat can be a bit much. Get the 4 inch unless you just want the look of a 5 inch and if you do you can always get our 4 -6 inch tip for the "look"!
