still having brake problems

still having brake problems

this is a long ? so please bare with me. on my disk brake conv. i redrilled a hole in the flat bar conecting to the pedal.this lets the pedal hit the floor before the brakes in gage.tried a half inch spacer between the step bracket and the fire wall. same problem. should i try to adjust the rod coming on the m/c side of the booster? thanks for all the help.

Hi Steve, Did you use the existing pedel or a donor? I still run the orginal in mine. How far up the rod did you drill the hole?

The rod in question does effect the pressure applied to the brakes, but has nothing to do with the pedel adjustment. Two different adjustments.

With a little more feedback I hope we can work this out today for you.

hi i used the original pedal redrilled about 1/2 inch redrilled the hole in the pedal 3/4 down from original I mistakingly posted this in the wrong list. i meant to put it in the one for 66 and under though maybe you all can help I hope

Steve, You didn't specify a year so it will be ok to stay here.

If I read correctly you drilled two holes, I think you may have gone two far by doing two. You should be able to see where the hole needs to be, and drill another one up or down from where you did to correct the issue.
