Kickdown problems

Kickdown problems
Just replaced flexplate on my 89 F150 2wd 5.0 / AOD tranny. My kickdown will not attach to the tranny in the proper position. It hooks up with the throttle open'd up 1/4 of the way. I overtorqued the nut holding the linkage and kickdown to the tranny and turned the bolt a good half rotation clockwise. Can i adjust the kickdown topside anywhere or will i need to open up the transmission?

You probably stretched something the wrong way.
You must correct this before driving the vehicle or serious internal damage will occur.
Without knowing what got out of position it is impossible to tell where to bend etc.

Yea, I have already put too many miles on it in this condition. I am draining the fluid right now, I beleive the problem has something to do with the 'TV Lever Torsion Spring'. Only one way to find out though.
