clutch pedal problems

i now its been a while but all hell its been braking loose after i changed the cv axle and almost killed the engine when the preassure sensor started a big leak.

anyway, now the clutch pedal fell half way to the floor. i havent touched the hydraulic system and i dont see eny leaks + the fluid level seems ok. its a '89 b2 eb 2.9. i wanna bleed the clutch but you need 2 sets of hands for that right? thanks

tryed to search but this came up.

Another Way....

You could use a brake bleeding pump & keep topping up the clutch master.

Here's how to do it. Buy 2' of 9/16" id clear tubing crack open the bleeder slip the clear hose over the bleeder valve, take the cover off the resevoir and pump like crazy! Submerge the end of the hose in a container of clean brake fluid, watch for the fluid to drain inside the clear hose - but be careful if the resevoir goes dry you'll have to start all over. Open the drivers door grab the clutch pedal, keep your eyes on the air bubbles/brake fluid. You'll feel the pedal getting firmer, close the bleeder, remove hose you're done. Most site will tell you it'll take about 10 min - that's bull, it'll be closer to 30 min.

Uhhhhh.... unless the bleeder on the clutch system has a ball-check valve on it (like aftermarket brake "speed bleeders".... to do it right, you'll need two people. Sounds to me like either your master or slave cylinder blew a seal, though. Bleeding it just like brakes is a good idea, especially having tubing going to a container of clear fluid, although it's not "required". Using a bleeder pump is also an option. One thing to keep in mind is that the bleeder isn't very easy to get to. Just my $0.02
