Gear change
Ok, now I'm looking into changing to 4.30 gears and wanted to know if anyone knows what kind of price range I should expect to pay to do this on a 4x4. Thanks.

$1500-$2000 including ring and pinions.

I paid $800.00 which included going with a possi rear. Don't know if I spelled possi wright but wanted but tires to spin for more traction. Shop did an excellent job. My rpms went up to 2600 at 80mph on interstate.

I paid about $1800 out the door. Included the gears from Randy's Ring and Pinion (Yukon brand), installation, tax, etc.

In the case of a 4X4 you have to change the front or you will not be able to use 4X4 anymore. So, do you really need to change it?
