glow plug 3 and 6 problem

glow plug 3 and 6 problem
Hi I have a 2000 7.3 ford Excursion and I replaced the glow plugs about a year ago and now the service engine light is on and it says that 3 and 6 glow plug circuit failure. Is there a way to check the glow plugs. I also am not sure of the cylinder orders to locate three and 6. Is 2,4,6,8 on the drivers side starting at the front of the motor and 1,3,5,7 on the passengers side. Is there any other common problem in the wiring going to the glow plug. thanks
