well, I dunno whats up, I thought the boost would drop a couple psi but not over 5, and I expected the EGTs to drop. I might go over all the connections again.
When I did the ATS housing, I remembered the big o-ring as I spotted it easily. However, the o-ring that goes between the compressor outlet and the y-pipe that splits between the intercooler pipes, I forgot. It was stuck in the old stock housing, and as I was stashing that away after finishing up, I saw the o-ring staring me in the face.
I made sure I gotthat one, and I remember seeing the big one when I was putting the ATS housing on...17ft lbs didnt seem like much to torque that down to....tomorrow morning Ill rip it all apart I guess....not the funnest thing
ok, I just started my truck up, its about -3 deg. celcius. it sounds different, and its blowing a little bit of smoke when idling, wich it never did before....
undid and re tightend all clamps from the housing to the intercooler. still the same. I guess Ill have to take the housing off and check it all out. maybe ill borrow my buddys superchip and see if I pull any codes.
Well, that eliminates that possibility. Looks like you're going to need to pull it apart and check for anything that looks abnormal. I'm lost as to what it might be.
hmm, yea...I should have taken the housing off when I had all the pipes off. dad has a ****** in the shop right now..hopefully I can poke my truck in ther for a couple hours soon.
