Dang. I got the 6.0 cooler, the BTS tranny, and pull about 12000. I think I've seen it over 130 once.
Makes me wonder, is it the 6.0 cooler or Brians tranny thats working so well?
I got the BTS after the Cooler. However, I think Brian is a crook. He makes the trans last longer by puting a refridgerator in the trans. That way if he services it, he has cold beer.
How the heck did you guys get to the bolts holding the tranny cooler in to get it out let alone put the6.0 cooler in ??
I've got a cooler sitting in my pantry and I've tried every way possible short of taking my ranch hand grill guard off and the grill out..
My hands aren't smallso Ican't just reach up in there and someone said use a long extension, but the bolts aren't where I can get to them.
Any suggestions ??
taking the grill out is about the best way..4 bolts just uner the hood and the bottom clips into place..also the plastic shroud going to the rad.the grill bolts to. will pop off ive got a brush gard too shouldnt half to remove that.i can work around mine..ive got a new tru cool sitting on my tool box now.coming into winter now..we see 20 to 30 below 0 alot here so i dont think ill be needing it any time soon..
The Upgraded Oil Cooler is the same used on the V10 and some early 6.0L. We have the complete kit that includes the factpry OEM brackets and hoses with clamps for a perfect fit on the 7.3L 99-03.

I have a Warn Transformer Grill and brush guards, so I feel for you. I took the rubber off that covers the radiator and did most of my work there. Un bolt the AC condensor brackets, it pushes far enough out of the way to get your arm in there. If your patient you can get the 2 side bolts pretty easy, just cover the AC condensor with a towel otherwise it will chew your arm up. The two bottom bolts are the tricky ones, if you pry up the bottom skirt/spoiler and cut a small slit in the rubber isolater you can get in there with a 10mm socket. Hope this helps.
