Stabilizer bars

Hey all, how we doin? My truck has stabilizer bars front and rear. I noticed the other day that my work truck (a '93 F-150) dosent. Was this an option? Maby something to do with the lariat package?

I dunno, just wondering.

4x4's came with sway bars, 2wd trucks didn't. As far as I know, that's the only difference.

Well my work truck is a 4x4.

Got me then. Every 4wd I've ever seen had them, every 2wd didn't. Maybe they didn't use them on the fleet trucks?

I have a 2wd with stabilizer (anti-sway) bars. It was an optional handling package, at least in '87.

So it was a factory option then. Cool, I wasnt sure if somome added it somwhere along the way or what. Thanks.

Could probably find them in a slavage yard and put them on your truck. Looks pretty easy to do...

Before I bought my truck--I drove numerous 87-96 F150s and the stablizer bar equipped trucks drove so much better!! Almost like sports cars !! And the best handling trucks were the quad shock,bar equipped ,short wheel base--just what I now have!!
