thinking of buying a new f250 super duty reg cab either xl model or xlt? no frills just a nice pickup, now im a small truck guy who had a 88 ranger back in the day, how are these big trucks as far as gas? i know ill get under 15mpg city driving but it will be my second car so to speak, i have a van which i use all day. would i be better off with something smaller or just go with the 250? i dont really like the f150s to much to square looking for my taste but the super dutys are sweet. i might tow my car once in a while but not going to buy it for towing. thanks.

Check my signature. I get 12.3 average w/ a V10 in a 4wd F350. 2wd will do a little better. A guy that I work with has a 4wd F250 w/ the 5.4 V8 and the best he can do is 13-13.5. And I can spank him all day long, loaded, empty, it doesn't matter. Good luck!!
