I know this is probably like the gas vs. diesel debate but I'm gonna ask anyway.
What brand and series shocks are you guys running, lifted or otherwise? Are you happy with them? I'd like to keep this to the 99-04 trucks since mine is an 04 and I dont want to compare apples to oranges.
I've heard good things about the Bilstein's and the Rancho RS9000's. I'm leaning toward the Bilstein's. I'm getting ready to do a leveling kit and I want to upgrade my shocks at the same time.
I got a set of 4 Bilsteins from Autozone and have been very happy with them. I have also heard good things about the Ranchos as well. I don't think you can go wrong with either of them.
About a-month-ago I put four Edelbrock IAS Performer shocks on, along with Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo tires. Obviously it rides better and firmer. Some nasty weather ought to tell more about the tires. The shocks came via an FTE site sponsor delivered for $72.77 each. No problems concerning the installation. Cheers!
Maybe I'm wrong about them being the 5100 series. I thought that's what they were going to be. I'm getting them as an upgrade to my leveling kit. Anyway, thanks for the info.

With the leveling kit, you will be raised some, so you might be getting the 5100's anyhow. Those 5100's look real nice.
