Noticed something in the 2008 order guides that I had missed before. The XLT sport package is now available with the 6.8 V10. I was wanted the sport pkg when I got my 05, but it was unavailable with the 6.8 then.

 

What is it, or where can I find the order guide.

It was available. I've got a 05 V10 XLT with the sport package. Just checked my window sticker and it's listed as "XLT Sport Package". Pretty much the same as you listed in your later post of items included.

 

Must have been a Cdn/US thing then, as is wasn't available here.

 

I know for sure I couldn't build one last year either, I kinda assumed it was an 05' and up thing. last year if you selected the V10 as an engine option it either delete the sport package or make you take the 6.0L diesel.

 

Must have been only available for part of 05 then. I was up at the dealership here today and got a copy of the Cdn 08 order guide. Quite a few things come standard on ours that are options in the US order guide. I guess that is fine if it is something you want, but if not your just paying more for something you don't want. For example block heater, Tire pressure monitoring(srw), Daytime running lights, PATS, and air conditioning is sandard on XL and up, ESOF is standard on XLT and up (ESOF delete is an option). Lariat comes standard with heated seats, programable garage door opener, bodyside mouldings, and powerscope TT mirrors. Our order codes start with 9 where the US models start with 6 ie. a XLT F350(srw) in the US is a 613A and up here it is a 913A. All the rest of the order codes for options etc. are the same, but certain things aren't availabe. Like you can't order a Lariat here in CX/Z3 (blue/silver) two tone. The silver accent code here is UD and is not availabe with the blue. Don't know if I care for tire pressure monitorng system on a truck. Sounds like something to break.

 

break they sure do. check out the replacement costs of those tire valve sending units and a antena for it ouch to your pocket book

 

Glad to see. I have a 03' V10 sport package. Personally I like the pre 05 sport packages more. The boldness of the new grill is a bit much for me.
