The lines, pump (or go with anyone u like), the resovoir...the brackets for the pump (your choice) ....i got everything from the steering linkage shaft to the frame....that way u wont be missing anything....

You are definitly going to need the power steering unit and the hoses. You can get the power steering pump for what ever pump goes with your engine. You are also going to need a bracket to mount the unit on your frame. If you use the pitman arm off the toyota you are going to have to weld the ball off your original pitman arm on it or you can bye one from Bob/s F-100, he also sells the bracket to mount the unit on the frame.
Make sure to get the hoses I tried to get a new pressure hose made to
mate to my ford pump and never did find the fitting to screw in to the pressure side of the pump.I finally cut the end off the toyota hose and welded it to the ford hose.Does anyone know the size and discription of the pressure fitting?
I had no problem getting one for my 302, I just changed pumps and had to get another end because the pumps were different. Just go to a shop that makes hydrolic hoses or A/C hoses. I only paid $5 bucks for cutting, fitting and labor. However you have to be careful with the toyota hose because it is steel braded on the inside.
thanks for that info bro....i was taking out my original gear box today and going to order the bracket from Mid-Fifty...man was it hard to get out after 48yrs of tightening...

I believe the pressure fitting is 17mm inverted flare. I never did find out the description of the return fitting. Make sure you get it with a junkyard box or aftermarket hose set.

>Did you fab your own Pitman arm? If yes, how difficult?
If you have access to a cnc mill, I have a program to cut a arm from 5/8" plate. It cuts a keyhole in the top and a hole in the bottom to tap. Tap the hole and screw in a replacement ball that is available from Sacremento ford. Clamp the Toyota arm down on the mill and it then cuts the top part of the Toyota arm off to fit the keyhole in the steel. Press the Toyota part into the steel arm, Tig weld around it and your ready to go.
If you want the programs, send me a e-mail and I will send them to you.
So I assume that the 1980-85 pitman arm ball does not fit the original. Dag man, more lot than the average. Using a Ford Galaxy 500 steering column and have to motify the end of shaft linkage to the P/S box. Waste of money to buy the u-joint when you just grind a little and use the linkage of toyotas. Save about $80 bucks foreal. That is why I say get everything from the box to the steering wheel.
For what it's worth... I had a Toyota PS unit installed in my '59. Works great! Save EVERYTHING from your Toyota unit. Murphy's Law: the one thing you don't retain is the one thing you'll be missing and it'll be the toughest and most expensive to get!
Make sure to get the little brass fittings that go inside the toyota P/S box. They are the seats for the hose flares. If you don't have them it will not seat and they are not easy to get. Bob's F-100 has them for $10 each!!!!
The toyota shop only sales them in the re-build kit for the pump. I was lucky enough to find someone who took it out and sold it to me separate for $3.
I was sittin pretty after that. Just don't loose them. It's better that way.
Good luck. (I just wanted to make sure this point is clear. Don't know if anyone else had this problem.)
