speedo problem

speedo problem
When I first take off after my truck has been sitting for a week or so the speedo will not work for a little while, like it is stuck. Then all the sudden it will jump up to speed and start working fine. What do you think the problem is?

Hard to say, is the odometer working while the speedometer does not register?
