97 psd programmer
Hey guys!
We have a 1997 PSD F250 at the fire station as a bruck truck. I am wanting to know if anyone has a programmer for this model/year of truck, that I can BORROW to do a little reprogramming?
OR, does anyone have any expirence with the programmers for them.
This thing runs like a rocket now, about 110mph top end, but I am wanting to reprogram the shifts so it doesnt shift so fast.
It seems that it shifts prior too soon and it loses it steam too fast.
Please remember that this thing is carrying 300 gallons of water, 150' of 1" hose, on a steel flatbed plus a pump! It is weighing in at 10,270 with 2 guys geared up!

If your only concern is the transmission you should consider a mechanical upgrade like this one:

Since programmers are married to the VIN it's pretty unlikely that someone would detune their vehicle in order to let you borrow it, especially if you intend to keep it......Of course, somebody might have an "extra" programmer jusy laying around.
