This morning when I left it was a bit chilly. Tried to turn on some heat and nothing....no lights, no nothing.
Came back home to check fuses. Still not sure what fuse it is, but I believe it is number 24 (05 F250). Anyway. Didn't look bad, couldn't find my mult-meter. Took the radio fuse out and switched it with fuse 24.
Both radio and heat now work.....
Bad connection at the fuse? or should I look further?? Heading up north for Thanksgiving and would hate to be on the road and have no heat....in case it is cold.

I had the same thing occur with my 05 F350 about 2 weeks ago, I did the same thing with the fuses, just pulled it and inspected it and reinstalled it. Bingo it worked.
i am assuming you have eatc. if so you need to go get your head replaced. i have put on several of these, and ford did have a broadcast message about this concern. its expensive unless you have esp or base warranty.

I'm not understanding. I'm relatively certain this problem was electrical in nature, since pulling a fuse and re-installing it solved the problem (at least so far it has). Why would I need to have a head replaced?
do you have eatc? the heads are having a problem mainly when you shut the truck off. they are too sensitive and something is giving them a shock. these heads are mini computers and when you pull the fuse you are resetting the head causing them to work. yes, the problem is solved but i am very certain it will happen again. see it too many times.

could you shed some lite on the Ford broadcast message? THis just happened to my 05 EATC, no power, haven't done anything yet. Would the dealer know about it?
