Hi,

I have an 01 screw 5.4
99expy 4.6
98f-150 4.6

On the expy and the screw the oil filter is located on the engine block.
On the 98 it is under the front bumper in front of the drivers side tire. Is this stock, or did someone put a relocation kit on it? Just wondering. I just got the 98 and was doing an oil change and noticed it.

ok, on the 4.6 f-150 motors, the oil filter has a factory relocation kit added. I dont know if this is due to lack of space to get at it or what not, but i like it, kind of acts like a cooler perhaps.

 

wish I had that, my 5.4 has it right where it NOT suppose to be, times like these I wish I had my old truck with the 300 inline.
