Anybody got a quick Step-By-Step for gas filter replacement? special tools etc..

The fuel line that connects to the fuel filter have quick disconnect lines. There is a spring clip that requires a special tool to release it. This special tool is commonly available at most auto part stores. Push the tool into the connector and then pull on the fuel line. Good luck!

and pull hard...but gentle...mine took about 8 minutes of moving back and forth and around to get off....it can be VERY stubborn!!

just make sure you got the right size tool and go at er!

Fuel System Pressure

I read somewhere that you need to relieve the pressure in the fuel system before you remove the filter, is this true and how do you do that.

Just let the truck sit for a few hours to lower the pressure in the line.

Yes, relieve the pressure, you can simply pull the fuel pump fuse and turn the truck over. There will still be some fuel that spills but it won't squirt out under pressure all over your face at least.

You might try spraying some penatrating oil in the quick clips as they get lots of what feels like sand or grit in them.
