XL1200LTD-Keith,

What kind of truck do you have? How did you power the PIE adaptor? Did you hook it up to 12V Constant and Ground?

Pie

I have a 05 F150SuperCrew. I used a green wire/yellow stripe (I think) off of the radio harness and pulled a hot off of the drivers side dash for the PIE. I have the RCA jacks splitting the signal to the Uni-pod and to a 3.5 mm jack that I installed in the dash. It stays on with the (PIE) jack, but not the dock connector cable coming from the uni-pod. I think the problem is that the green (extended charging defeat) wire on the Uni-pod is grounded to stop the Ipod from charging when the key is switched off. I just need to troubleshoot this, the music staying on till the door opens is a feature I do not want to lose.

I got the parts at Radio shack to make the 3.5mm jack in the dash. I installed it on the passenger side, to the left of the glovebox, in the metal frame that runs underneath. It is hidden from view.

I do not have the upfitter switches, does anyone know if the wiring is already run for them and if so could I just tap into on of those wires to power the PIE.
